我，从这边的绿道走上去
不知名的鸟儿，从那边的森林飞下来
我们的影子，在透明的水里相遇
都不说话，只贪婪地眺望蓝天白云

一座城市的现代化
绝非只是科技和先进制造
而且，还要一尘不染的街道
和车水马龙在树荫下有序穿梭

在东莞，我们惊叹啊
这座制造世界的城市
工厂和花木一起谈情说爱
路过的人，都能看出他们甜美的笑容

自己先富起来，这是机遇和机能
但用财富和智慧帮助别人富起来，则是一种感恩与福泽
说着不同口音的外乡人
在旁边，交谈着东莞到他们家乡扶贫

沿着笑声的方向
我看见，快乐的鱼群
嬉戏在碧水倒映的蓝天
让我的心潮再次澎湃
鸟语和芳香跟我一起
热烈相拥东莞的大自然

一只白鹭，在水畔的草丛上拍翅
我多想，借它的翅膀
将这湖光山色，连同东莞蓝一起搬回家乡
在梦中和它们呢喃
